Don’t stop speaking !

Joshua 1:8 – This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (NKJV)
If you want to change your circumstances, you must have faith in two places— in your heart and in your mouth. You might think, Well, I’m just not comfortable with that confession business. I just like to believe God quietly. That may be what you like, but it’s not what the Bible teaches. 2 Corinthians 4:13 ….………… according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
All the way through the first chapter of Genesis we see God creating by speaking His Word. Over and over again it says, God said…God saw…and it was good. That’s how we operate too, when we’re living by the spirit of faith. We say God’s Word…we see the result…and it is good! This will always be the sequence of events in your life if you don’t stop speaking God’s Word.

Revelation releases the Power

James 1:25 “But whoever catches a glimpse of the revealed counsel of God – the free life! – even out of the corner of his eye, and sticks with
it , is no distracted scatterbrain but a man or woman of action. That person
will find delight and affirmation in the action.(The Message Bible)

Note : You don’t need too much, just a glimpse of revelation in His Word and you will fly says the Lord.

YOU CAN SPEAK TO YOUR WORLD !

speaking God's Word - 1I wrote an article where I gave a testimony of one of our members that applied the Word: she spoke the Word of God to her leg and she received instant healing.  I want to bring you a biblical illustration of this same thing in the earthly life of Jesus.

Mark 11:13-14 Verse13: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

Verse14: “And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard [it].”

Notice that this verse says that Jesus “answered” this fig tree. The tree had not spoken to Him verbally but it had communicated that it had figs by the leaves on the tree. Why would Jesus curse this fig tree? The scripture gives no explanation of this. However, it is a fact that a fig tree should have figs by the time the leaves come up. The fig tree actually produces green figs before the leaves appear and if no figs are produced by that time, then that tree will not have any figs that year. Therefore, this fig tree was professing something that it didn’t have even though it was still too early for figs. It was hypocritical.

Not only plants, but other things can communicate with us, too. Circumstances can tell you that you have failed. Your body can tell you that your prayer didn’t work–the Lord didn’t heal you, etc. You need to follow Jesus’ example and answer these things with a positive statement of your faith. Jesus was not only having trees talk to Him, but He was also talking to them. Jesus also encouraged us to speak to mountains (Mark. 11:23) or to whatever our problem might be.

God created the heavens and the earth and everything that is in the earth by His words (Hebrews. 11:3). The whole creation was made by and responds to words. Our words, when spoken in faith, release either life or death (Proverbs. 18:21) and will affect people, things, and circumstances. We can release the power that is in faith by our words, as Jesus went on to explain to His disciples (read Mark. 11:23 -24).

Jesus said we should speak to the mountain, or our problem. Most people speak to God about their problem but few follow Jesus’ instructions and speak directly to the “mountain.” God has put certain things under our authority and we must exercise it. When a problem stands in our way, we must speak to the problem and command it to get out of our way in the name of Jesus and it will always go. Thank you Jesus!

The Knowledge of God

Knowledge of God 12 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

We get access to every thing necessary for life and righteousness through an understanding of God’s word (The Knowledge of God). John 8:32 ‘ And you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free ‘

Remember : Knowledge alone is not Power but the Application of Knowledge is Power. – You cannot live in all things God has provided to us unless you give ground for the application of the Word of God in your life…. Hebrews 12:2 ‘ Looking unto Jesus the AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH ‘….

This is the Gospel of the Kingdom

This is the Gospel of the Kingdom !
Matthew 24:14 – ‘And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come’.
The “gospel of the kingdom” that Jesus referred to and what much of “Christianity” preaches today are not the same thing. The word “gospel” means good news or glad tidings. While it is certainly true that God hates sin and all sin will be judged, that is not the good news of the kingdom. Yet most of religious preaching centers on what we do or should do and not on what Jesus has already done for us. The gospel that Jesus referred to is that Jesus has purchased a way to the Father through His own death and resurrection and it is ours if we will just believe (Rom. 10:1-13).
Many people who have heard the “bad news” of religion are “working their fingers to the bone” to earn God’s favor. They have not only made Jesus their Savior, but they have had the burden of salvation put on their own backs. That is not the gospel of the kingdom.

Do not be deceived !

Evil company1 Corinthians 15:33

‘Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.’

The much broader application of this truth, which is borne out in many passages of scripture is that association with evil doers tends to corrupt us. Some people ridicule this, thinking that if one is really strong, association with evil can’t hurt. Paul said you are deceived if you think that.

There is no doubt that all of us encounter evil, and the Lord did not Himself, nor advocate His followers to pursue the life of a monk. We are the salt of the earth and we need to get out of the shaker to do any good. But our contact with the world has to be controlled. We need to be the ones doing the ministering, not the other way around.

Association with people who are doing evil is all right if we are ministering to them. But exposing ourselves to the talk and ways of the ungodly is a great mistake that has corrupted many good-intentioned people. Evil lifestyles tend to corrupt good lifestyles.

Some may ask why that is. It seems like the evil should be more influenced by the good. Well, just as disease is contagious rather than health, and fat comes easier than muscle, so evil seems to be easier to obtain than good. We need to deal with this reality and not allow ourselves to be influenced by evil.

Lot is an Old Testament example of a righteous man who was corrupted through his association with the ungodly (Read: 2nd Peter. 2:7 – 9; and   Genesis. 19).”Evil communications” does not just mean extremely bad talking and “good manners” are more than just style.

Life and death are not only in the power of our tongue but everyone else’s, also (See Proverbs. 18:21). We need to be careful of the things we hear and the things we see because they do influence our morals.

So Paul is saying that association with evil will corrupt our morals because our morals are a reflection of the associations we keep. No one can continually associate with evil without it corrupting their morals.

This doesn’t mean we have to withdraw totally from the world, but we do have to beware, we have to keep our focus – we need to keep our selves under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, always – perhaps that’s the only way we can continue living in this world as children of God. Romans 8:14 ‘For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God’.

Are the scriptures really God-breathed?

wordofGod active{2 Timothy 3:16} ‘All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness’ .This text here tells us that the scriptures don’t just contain God’s Words; the scriptures are God’s Words.
1st century Romano-Jewish historian Flavius Josephus, who was a non-Christian historian of the first century, said, “The rabbinical teaching was that the Spirit of God rested on and in the prophets and spoke through them in that their words did not come from themselves; but from the mouth of God and they spoke and wrote in the Holy Spirit. The early church was in entire agreement with this view”. Despite the human instruments God used, the scriptures are just as if God had spoken them directly.
Let’s examine this text {scripture} in more detail below:
The word ‘doctrine’ implies systematic or organized information or beliefs. God’s Word has to be the foundation of all our belief systems and therefore the basis of all our refuting of error.
The word ‘reproof’ means, “to confute, admonish”.The New International Version translates this as “rebuking.” God’s Word is profitable for rebuking sin and error.
‘Correction’ means “restoration to an upright or right state; improvement of life or character” .Correction might involve reproof but is a step farther. It not only exposes the wrong which is rebuke, but it brings the individual receiving the correction to a better state which a rebuke will not always do.
There are two types of righteousness. The Word of God is profitable for instructing us in both these types of righteousness. It will teach us about our right position in Christ which is a product of our faith in Him. And it will teach us how to relate to our fellow man with right actions.

God’s Kind Of Love!

Gods love never fails1st Corinthians 13:1,2,8,13

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
8 Charity never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity(love). (KJV)-

Compare Verse 13 from the English Standard Version “But now we still have faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love”.

This whole chapter is a contrast between God’s kind of love and the gifts of the Spirit. Paul shows the temporariness of the gifts and the eternalness of love, to elevate the position of love. Now he states that faith, hope, and love will abide throughout eternity, but the greatest of these three is God’s kind of love.

Some people have taken statements like this one in 1st Corinthians 13:13, and rejected faith and hope, or at least attributed them to immature Christians. That is not so. Without faith it is impossible to please God as Hebrews  11:6 says: “But without faith it is impossible to please God: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him”, and our faith is linked to our hope. These are powerful forces that will still be in operation through- out eternity. But God’s kind of love is even greater.

Paul is making this comparison because no one who is thinking clearly would discard faith and hope. They would understand that he was not putting them down but lifting love up. Likewise, Paul is not discrediting the gifts of the Spirit, but is stressing that operating the gifts of the Spirit in love is superior to operating them carnally.

Who is Jesus Christ?

JESUS“None of the rulers of this age understood this; for if

they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory”

(1 Corinthians 2:8, New Revised Standard Version).

Who was Jesus? Few will dispute that a man named Jesus lived 2,000 years ago and that He was a great teacher who impacted the world from His time forward. He made a claim that was breathtaking in its audacity—that He was the very Son of God. For much of His lifetime He com

-manded only a small following, people who believed that claim and considered Him their promised Deliverer and King. Many others later came to believe that He was the Son of God as a result of the testimony of those followers. Just read on, I want to point out what or Who Jesus really is/was.

Christ already existed even before the creation (Ephesians 1:4) “Explaining the will that God had even before the creation, Paul said, “In the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which  are in earth – in Him” (Ephesians 1:10).

To fulfill His will , God sent His only begotten son whom He had promised and who would be anointed  ,to this earth .Ephesians 3:9 “And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery (secret) ,which from the beginning of the world has been hidden in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ”.

Jesus Christ has not only existed even before creation, but He has existed as the eternal and true God. Further more, even though He came to this earth in the flesh of a man, He continued to be God Himself, read (John 1:1, 14). As Romans  9:5 states; “(He) who is over all, the eternally blessed God. In Mathew 9:2, Jesus said, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins be forgiven you” – who has the power to declare forgiveness of sins apart from God?

Further more, Paul also said, “(Christ Jesus) who being in the form of God did not consider it robbery to be equal with God”. (Philippians 2:6). John, while praising Christ, also confessed, “And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life” (1 John 5:20). When Caiaphas the high priest asked Jesus, Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God”, Jesus answered him, “it is as you said”(Mathew 26:63-64) see also (Mark 15:2).

On other occasions, Jesus also said that He and God were one (John 10:30, and that He had existed before Abraham (John 8:58). Christ moreover, mentioned His role as the High Priest and the glory that He has shared with the Father even before the creation (John 17:5). In addition, when Christ forgave people of their sins or healed them from their illnesses, as well as when He admonished His disciples to believe in Him, all these things were contingent upon their recognition of His divinity.

Finally, I should say; Jesus Christ is the second person of the Triune God who worked as the Son of God in the salvation plan of God (Mathew 26:63-64)

Jesus not only tells His followers to believe in Him, but that when

we pray to the Father, we are to pray in Christ’s name. “And whatever

you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in

the Son” (John 14:13). Jesus made it clear that access to the Father is

through Him, telling us that “no one comes to the Father except through

Me” (verse 6).

It is also very clear from the Bible that Salvation is got through Jesus Christ alone (Acts 4:12) .

If you would love to receive Christ as your Savior today, just say this Prayer:

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner; I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God (John 3:16).I believe that he died on the cross and shed his precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins (Luke 23:33). I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit and that he sits on the right hand of God at this moment, Hearing my confession of sin and this prayer.

I open up the door of my heart and i invite you into my heart , Lord Jesus , wash all my filthy sins away in the precious blood that you shed in my place on the cross at Calvary .You will not turn me away  , you will forgive my sins and save my soul because your word says so.I know that you’ve heard me , I know that you’ve answered me and i know that am saved . Thank you Jesus, for saving my soul.
